Q: I received glasses that were supposed to be polarized, but came, with regular tinted lenses, how can I get this corrected?
A: Dear Lizzy RODRIGUEZ,
Thank you for reaching out and letting us know about your concern with the lenses. We’re sorry to hear you suspect the lenses aren’t polarized, and we’d like to help you verify this with a simple at-home test.
To check if your lenses are polarized, please try this quick method:
Find a reflective, flat surface (like a phone screen, a pair of known polarized sunglasses, or a car windshield).
Put on your new sunglasses and look at the surface.
Slowly rotate your head (and the sunglasses) 90 degrees, while keeping your eyes focused on the same spot.
If the lenses are polarized, you’ll notice the reflection on the surface darkens significantly or becomes completely black as you rotate. If the lenses are only tinted, the brightness of the reflection will stay consistent no matter how you turn them.
If you still believe the lenses are not polarized after testing, please share photos or a short video showing the test results.
We appreciate your patience as we resolve this!
