I was given a prescription years ago but having never worn glasses until presbyopia set in, had never developed habits for taking care of eye wear. In fact, I do find the readers much better at helping me read than the prescription ones I had. I never had a pair handy when I needed them for reading so I now am able to put a pair in my purse, kitchen, bed room, computer desk etc. Being that I often just set them down somewhere they do get scratched fairly quickly and stretched so they fall down my face like bifocals, I don't have to deal with seeking to have them tightened and there is no local optician either so again, less expensive and less bothersome to pull out a new pair! Almost like contact lenses for daily wear but less expensive than them, And I don't get dried out eyes frequently. It sucks getting old!
